Kyle R. Boyd is an investment professional with over two decades of experience. Previously, Kyle was a Principal with the investment counseling firm of Boys, Arnold and Co., where he served as a senior investment counselor and on the firm’s Investment Committee, handling many of the firm’s largest and most complicated portfolios. He also served as President of Boys, Arnold Trust Company and was responsible for Trust Company planning, formation and management.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Trust Officer for Merrill Lynch Trust Company, Kyle was on the Investment Committee. He supervised all trust company administration and management in its Greensboro, Chicago, Bloomfield Hills, Columbus, and Washington, D.C., offices. In those capacities he oversaw $1.7 billion in trust assets. Prior to joining Merrill, he served as Vice President and Regional Manager for Wachovia Bank of North Carolina’s Trust Division in the Piedmont Triad Region.

Within Altavista, Kyle manages high net worth individual and institutional relationships. He also serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer.
Kyle is an attorney and member of the Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina Bar Associations. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama and holds a law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School.
He has served as a member of the Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church in Asheville, North Carolina, and on the board of directors of the Asheville Catholic School, Cradle of Forestry and National Independent Trust Company.
Kyle and his wife Martha live in Asheville and have two daughters.
